Saturday, August 25, 10 am - 6 pm:
Free concert at the Bandshell in Golden Gate Park featuring the best of regional jug bands in a gorgeous setting. Scheduled for the main stage are:
The Leasebreakers
The Barking Spiders (Robert Armstrong and Keith Cary)
Devine's Jug Band
The Quake City Jug Band
The Loose Licks Jug Band
Jeb Brady
The Babar Jug Band
The Tarantulas Jug Band
Playing on the second stage are The Jug Band Classics, Jugology, The Juggs, 5 Cent Coffee, and Aesthetic Cling. In addition there will be special guests, kids' programs, a raffle, swing dancing, vendors, and more!
Saturday, August 25:
The West Coast premier of the jug band documentary Chasin' Gus' Ghost at the Roxie Theater, 3117 16th Street, San Francisco. Showings are at 7 pm and 9 pm. Tickets are $9 at the door.
Sunday, August 26, 8 pm:
Very special program at the Great American Music Hall featuring live performances by
John Sebastian
Jim Kweskin
Geoff Muldaur
David Grisman
The Barbecue Orchestra (Fritz Richmond's old band)
other special guests and surprises
