You are invited to participate in the 5th Annual Saw Players Gathering in NYC.

See the Saw Players and hear the Singing Sounds of Saw:
* Natalia ‘Saw Lady’ Paruz will perform and discuss different genres of saw music
* Chen Zhikang of China, inventor and patent holder of the Chinese musical saw and teacher of more than 1000 saw students in China will perform and talk about saw playing in China
* Solo performances by many musical saw players
* The Chorus of the Saws - all participating saw players will play together
* A documentary film about the Musical Saw Players Gatherings will be shot at the event. All are invited to be filmed. If you don't want to be part of the movie - just let me know and you will not be filmed.

Meet fellow saw players of all levels of expertise, see different makes of musical saws, “talk shop” with other saw players, see different techniques of saw playing and get playing tips from veteran sawists.

When: Saturday, July 28th, 2007 at 2pm

Cost: $10 at the door (to cover the cost of renting a theater).
If you are a saw player who will participate in the ‘Chorus of the Saws’ AND if you REGISTER for the event before July 25th, you will receive a FREE copy of the musical saw CD ‘Hark! An Angel Sings’ as a token of appreciation for your participation.

Number of years playing the saw
Brand of saw you play (Mussehl & Westphal, Sandvik, Charlie Blacklock, etc.)
Do you want to play a solo?
Do you want to participate in the ‘Chorus of the Saws’?

At the end of the gathering all participating saw players will play together. We will play the song ‘Over the Rainbow’ (made famous by singer Judy Garland in the movie ‘The Wizard of Oz’). Possible other songs: ‘Auld Lang Sine’ and Schubert’s ‘Ave Maria’.
Saw players of ALL LEVELS are encouraged to play in the ‘Chorus of the Saws’. This is your chance to play together with saw masters. If you’re a beginner - don’t be shy - you can “hide” behind the sound of everybody else J
