I'm so excited to get a new saw for christmastime. Anyone have recommendations based on their favs? I've been looking at the 30 or 32" sanviks. . . but it's hard to say without getting the chance to try them out.
Also, does anyone have one without teeth? I'd like to not have to check my saw whenever I travel (although i'd probably still have a hard time knowing airport security)

Mon, November 19, 2007 - 11:21 PMI have a 32" Blacklock, but every time I play it I get all frustrated and go back to my true love, Stella. She's a 26 inch Stanley, and although she doesn't have the full range of a musical saw, she's the one I love.
And call me a snob, but I think saws without teeth are for babies. -

Tue, November 20, 2007 - 7:17 PMThat's so good to hear. Mine is also a 26" stanley, and I love it dearly. But I've heard so much about 32 inchers that are more flexible, better range, yadda yadda, that I'm thinking, well, maybe I should get a "real" musical saw.
Hm. .. Maybe I should reevaluate.
